All European Bangladesh Association (AEBA), a platform of Bangladeshi expatriates living in Europe urged all the political parties to preserve the interests of expatriates in their election manifestos for the upcoming 11th parliamentary election. Secretary General of AEBA, Kazi Enayet Ullah came up with the demand in a press briefing at their office in Paris on 12th December 2018 while he also sought 30 reserved seats in the parliament for the expatriate community for their welfare. He also suggested that the minister of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Ministry should come from among the expatriates. “Only patriotic expatriates can decorate the ministry properly,” he said.
